Liaisons

Liaisons fill an important role by connecting CMSESMC with their school community. They stay informed of what’s happening in math and science education within San Mateo County through emails, meetings, flyers - and now this website - and pass that information along to colleagues.

Who can be a liaison?
Anyone who is willing to inform their colleagues of CMSESMC events and represent their school and/or district at CMSESMC meetings. Maybe that’s you?

How will your school benefit?
· Your school will be among the first to learn about local events, county, state and national events, grant opportunities, field trip possibilities, conferences and more.

· Your students will benefit from the latest content and pedagogy.

· You’ll receive a discounted school pass for up to 6 educators to attend the CMSESMC Spring Conference on Saturday, March 1, 2008.

How will you benefit?
· CMSESMC membership is free for liaisons.

· Make new friends and connections in the local math & science community.

· Develop your leadership skills.

· Receive 25% off of the Spring Conference registration.

If you are already doing some of these things — we want to recognize and thank you. If not, this may be a wonderful opportunity for you to become involved in this important work. For more information or to become your school’s liaison, please contact Rita Wespi, Membership Chair and Liaison Coordinator, at rwespi [at] mathmatinee [dot] com or 650.269.1781.
