About Us
Mission Statement
CMSESMC is the county’s professional organization dedicated to the improvement of classroom instruction in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM.) Its goals are to foster excellence in STEM curricula and educational program, promote professional excellence in teaching and strengthen leadership in mathematics and science education.
Our members are teachers and administrators, K through college, from private and public institutions, in San Mateo County and the greater Bay Area. Members become more knowledgeable about mathematics and science education and have the opportunity to network with others in job-alike positions.
Active members meet on a monthly basis and are especially interested in providing activities and events that support teachers in mathematics and science education. Our meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 4:30 – 5:30pm at the San Mateo County Office of Education.
CMSESMC is supported by the San Mateo County Office of Education and is affiliated with the California Science Teachers Association (CSTA) and the California Mathematics Council - Northern Section (CMC-N). The two main events of CMSESMC are the Fall Resource Fair and the Spring Conference.
