CMSESMC is the county’s professional organization dedicated to the improvement of classroom instruction in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM.) Its goals are to foster excellence in mathematics and science curricula and educational program, promote professional excellence in teaching and strengthen leadership in mathematics and science education.

Spring Conference!
The 36th Annual Spring Math and Science Conference is Saturday, March 3, 2012. It’s our biggest annual event. We’re pleased to have this conference co-sponsored by CMSESMC and the San Mateo County Office.
The conference provides many sessions that foster excellence in math and science curricula, educational programs, and promotes professional excellence in teaching and strengthening leadership in these fields.
San Mateo County Science, Math & Technology Fair
January 29th – February 3rd 2012.
The San Francisco Bay Area and California State Science FairsSince the inception of our Fair, we have been able to send our top projects to regional and state fairs. The Fair serves as the qualifying event for the top science projects from San Mateo County public and private schools for the Bay Area and CA State Science Fairs. Main Events
CMSESMC is supported by the San Mateo County Office of Education and is affiliated with the California Science Teachers Association (CSTA) and the California Mathematics Council – Northern Section (CMC-N). The two main events that CMSESMC sponsors are the Fall Resource Fair and the Spring Math/Science Conference.
Meetings
Our active members meet on a monthly basis and are especially interested in providing activities and events that support teachers in mathematics and science education. Our meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 4:30 – 5:30pm at the San Mateo County Office of Education.
